(sarcasm implied and hopefully understood...)
What a crazy three weeks at CF. Started off with Family WKND, where CFKids brought a ton of excitement/energy into the worship center. Nickelodeon's got nothin' on us. Next up was CFPB's Acoustic Set, which brought a little bit of "chillax" into the worship center. Loved it.
This wknd, CF Students took over the worship venue. They had a lot of fun with it too... When we say "took over," I don't think people really understand the magnitude of work CFStudents did this wknd preparing for the service. Not including the wknd, easily 100 man hours of volunteer prep time went into preparing, designing, programming, and rehearsing these services... These students OWNED the services this past wknd. It was a neat thing to see...
On the execution side, we had a little fun too! We are currently getting quotes for a new PA system in our worship center, and one of the vendors "gave" us a demo system to test out. In addition, one of our volunteers "lent" us a jib so we could use some crane shots in the service... in total we had five manned cameras each service (I believe that is a CFPB record.)
Shout out to 10 year old Ruben Martinez for programming over 100 VJ cues for the wknd. I have never seen ANYONE as diligent in picking backgrounds for worship... except for me of course. Each background was painstakingly picked, color shifted and time shifted to perfection. I was very impressed... Props also due to @gregcrisler, who did an awesome job designing the stage and creating the lighting schemes...
Thanks to CFPB Media Vols for being crazy flexible over the past three weeks. It's been a hard with all of these services with "unique" elements, but it's been rewarding knowing that people were brought closer to God as a result of some of our hard work... Thanks again.
