Well, it was a chaotic wknd, but God did some great things at CFMiami this wknd. Wanted to give you a peek behind the curtain:
- after way too many months of waiting, we finally got the Tally Lights hooked up in the studio. Probably doesn't mean anything to you, but I'd like to thank Robert Crisler and Eddy Perez for putting in the time.
- Lighting has been an issue at CFPB for the past couple weeks. Chalk it up to the gremlins that live in the catwalk. Thanks to Stephen (don't call me 'lil buddy) Farr for resolving the issues.
- Favorite line from the wknd: Rick Blackwood, after presenting our crew with a sermon rewrite 90 minutes before the service is scheduled to start: "God just kept talking to me..." Thanks to Charlie Bearham for dealing with a stressful rewrite.
- nothing is better than a coma nap caused by a sugar overdose on a Sunday afternoon.
- Ministry Rally. Wow, almost forgot about that. Breakouts were awesome. Had a ton of people. Love it when we get the campuses together. It's a great way to connect the Multisite Media volunteers with the CFPB crew... there's still a lot of knowledge that needs to be passed on...
- If you ever have to buy a DVD player for use in a Production Studio, make sure it has controls on the DVD player, and you're not freaking out because a certain someone lost the remote control (take note Mike Miranda).
- I realized something today. I've written the same email 3 or 4 times... trying to explain to the campuses how to do a technological something or other... I need to create a database, wiki, something so this stuff can be online (and I don't need to say the same thing MULTIPLE TIMES).
- CFTech officially launched this week. I'll go into detail on it for a later post, but we've basically set up a Tech Support System covering all the campuses. Everything went well, and the system held. Talked to some other people Friday who were interested in helping launch CFTech. Loving it!!!
- 6th Grade Students launched a completely new venue at CFPB this past Saturday night. Hopefully I'll get a chance to swing over there next week to see what the SRVC looks like. Heard things went great this wk!
- a high-ranking CF Staff member begged to not be put on the screens during the dance number at Ministry Rally. Who? I will not say.
Thanks to everybody who helped make this long weekend happen. You all are greatly appreciated.
