Well, you've seen the new Microsoft (M$) ads that tout Macs as overpriced pieces of "coolness", and proclaim Windows-based computers as computing bargains for the new economy.
"A PC is no bargain when it doesn't do what you want," Apple spokesman Bill Evans says. "The one thing that both Apple and Microsoft can agree on is that everyone thinks the Mac is cool. With its great designs and advanced software, nothing matches it at any price."
Love it. Congrats, M$, for continuing to miss the mystique of Apple... or at least misrepresent it to America.

They still haven't answered the question about the cost. They just replied with a "it doesn't do what you want" quip. But for a family that's cash strapped what makes more sense? A $2000 MBP or a $700 PC? Even if the family has the 2K why wouldn't you want to buy THREE PC for around the same price (One for the Mr. one for the Mrs. and one for the kiddies)? Apple needs to respond to the price question as opposed to just taking shots. They're loosing market share already.

Apple has done a great job at marketing. I have seen PC with issues and Mac's have thier moments, right @jdreed? But "Cool" does not cut it, at least not for me. Does it do what I need and handle what I want. If it can do it, and be cheaper at the same time, thats where I am going. Look at that ACER you got to run sound. It fit for what you wanted. Why didn't you go with an Apple product for that? If they had a reasonably priced laptop you probably would have gone with Apple, but no. You are the perfect example.

Yawn. Seriously, why are we still having this conversation? Blog post coming this week explaining why Apple is better off NOT having the majority of the market share...

I hate to quote "The Rock" but "Losers always whine about their best." I'm sure you know the rest.
