I don't read much Christian fiction. The last fiction title I read was years ago... Frank Peretti/Ted Decker's House (or en Espanol, Casa). Good book. Loved it until the last 30 pages, and it fell apart (for me anyway).
What surprised me about the book is how graphic it was. This was a fairly decent horror story...
Tonight I get a mysterious email from Heather, with a link to HouseTheMovie.net...
Christian Horror Flick? Really?
Gets better. House is RATED "R"... No, not kidding! Why's it rated "R"? Check out the trailer...
Is this film for everyone? NO!
Would I take my daughter? NO! My wife? Probably not!
Can the story be used to reach people? YES!
Ironically, the House trailer was shown this week in SAW V and The Haunting of Molly Hartley.
What do you think of a "R"-Rated Christian Horror Flick?

Well, if you read the book, the story unfolds. The movie is rated R because of the story line. Its not just a horror, I mean the story is life. Life is a horror film without Christ... any horror film is without Christ. But without Christ Jesus at the center of your life the movie and book HOUSE is an exact example of what you'r life is like and what your life will be after death. It is and will be HELL forever without Jesus Christ. I read the book at 14. I thought it was an amazing redintion of what the struggle between good and evil, God and Satan, and the struggle within yourself to be for God or against him. I want to see the movie. I agree its not for anyone under the age of 15 or 16. But like you said it will reach so many people. And hopefully it will click that they need Jesus Christ.
